Out of the seven deadly sins of speaking the one i have to say i seen the most in my military career and working for the United states post office is Gossip. For some reason people just talk about one another and always speaking of the latest trend, fashion, and who did what. I choose to believe that Gossip is so common in the workplace because supervisors cannot be everywhere at all time. And the consequences of this type of speech is disfunction within the organization and low moral. when gossip happen within the workplace employees are not focus and it definitely affect the person who is being talk about. It can cause chaos and confusion and i believe it is the worst thing out of all the deadly sin you can have in your company.
